Darien's Reopening Plan 2020-21

This portion of the District’s Website will serve as the communication hub for reopening schools and our ongoing efforts to maintain a safe learning environment for students and staff. Whether operating with in person instruction, hybrid learning, or remote learning, please access this area of the website for the most up to date information. COVID-19 DASHBOARD

Individuals who test positive and who are in isolation are not included in the quarantine numbers.

When the Darien Public Schools COVID-19 Response Team is notified of a positive case, the School Based Response Team begins contact tracing. Any close contact will be contacted with instructions for quarantine and further evaluation. Quarantine numbers include students who are contacts who have had exposure outside of the school setting.

Locations impacted include all who are required to quarantine, including family members who are part of the school community.

Locations include: Central Services, Darien High School, Fitch Academy, Middlesex Middle School, Hindley School, Holmes School, Ox Ridge School, Royle School, and Tokeneke School.

*This information will be updated at a minimum each Friday and when new cases are identified requiring isolation or quarantine of school community members. Quarantine numbers are inclusive of exposure in and outside of the school setting.
